Ashley is an ex-college football player who was looking to get some of his time back when he and his wife signed up for bistroMD.
Ashley before and after
What started as a convenient meal delivery service, quickly evolved into something so much more. With the time he gained back from not having to meal prep thanks to bistroMD, Ashley started hitting the gym more regularly and he started changing his eating habits. Heres how he did it, and how you can too!

As an athlete, he was constantly training, but when he stopped training his eating habits never changed. It wasnt about the weight loss for me, Ashley says, at least initially. But suddenly, I had all of this extra time on my hands from not having to cook every meal and I wanted to see what would happen if I pushed myself physically.

After being on the bistroMD Mens Program for six months, Ashley lost 100 pounds. He gives a lot of credit to bistroMD. BistroMD helped me change the eating habits I developed as an athlete. It taught me portion control, how to space out my meals, and how to snack wisely throughout the day.

Highlights from Ashley's Journey

Practicing Proper Portions

4 weeks

"In November 2019, I decided to invest in myself and I joined BistroMD with my wife. I'm a believer that how you plate your meal definitely has an effect on your eating. The Pork Tenderloin with Mushroom Marsala looks like a feast when you plate it on a 7 inch plate. Your eyes think you're eating more than you're really consuming and you feel full quicker."

20 lbs Staying Committed

5 weeks

"Just completed Week 5 and I'm officially down 20 lbs" Ashley's advice for people starting out on a weight loss journey is to think of the process as a marathon, not a sprint. Many people are excited on the first day of their journey, but by day 5 they are ready to give up.

"My mindset has been 'commit, don't quit."

"There are going to be times when you want an entire cheat day. Indulge yourself, don't go too far off the rails, and then come back and recommit to your goals.
"You should be prepared to give into your goal for 3-6 months. Really commit to it, see where it takes you, and enjoy the journey along the way."

Celebrating Non-scale Victories

15 weeks

"Today I tried on a suit that I haven't worn in 10 years... and it fit!"

"One day I realized that I hadn't had fast food in over six months. It has been amazing to see how bistroMD has rewired my eating habits. My doctor said, "whatever you're doing, keep it up! Your health numbers are looking great!"

100 lbs

"When you are no longer the "BIG" part of "Big & Tall", that's a different level of happiness...

Thank you bistroMD community!"
