Strawberry Recipe Ideas to Try Now

Arguably the most popular fruit there is, strawberries are so famous they have an entire month dedicated to them. For you Floridian strawberry fans, there is even a festival in their honor. Oddly enough it doesn’t fall during National Strawberry month, but during March, so keep a look-out in order to ride the spinning strawberries and hang out with Mr. Berry, the Florida Strawberry Festival’s mascot.

If you don’t want to wait until March to celebrate this sweet, healthy treat, there are plenty of ways to enjoy strawberries this month; and not all of them are doused in sugar and baked in to a dessert.

Strawberries can make a great addition to any summer salad. Pairing well with spinach, a food rich in magnesium, strawberry spinach salad is a good pool-side lunch.

Strawberry and Spinach Salad with Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette

- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
- ½ cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
- ½ cup raw pecans
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ cup olive oil
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Stir the balsamic vinegar and honey together in a bowl; slowly stream the olive oil into the mixture while whisking continuously. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle dressing over the salad just before serving.

From us, here at bistroMD, we have a delicious prepared strawberry recipe for breakfast that ensures your nutritional standards are met for breakfast.

Our peanut butter crepe with strawberry compote entrees are especially unique. The peanut butter crepes are filled with ricotta, Neufchatel cream cheese and peanut butter. The crepes are paired with a sweet strawberry compote and served alongside turkey sausage.

The wheat is hand ground and made into a wheat batter, then mixed with different flavors, like peanut butter in this case. Once assembled, this artisanal French breakfast is shipped right to your door with bistroMD. The kicker? Paired with the rest of our bistroMD entrees, you’ll be losing weight in no time.
