The benefits are recognized to improve balance, increase flexibility and strength, reduce cholesterol levels and promote heart health. Yoga can even trigger and boost energy thanks to its promotion of deep inhalations, energizing both the body and mind. Skip out on the morning caffeine or midday pick-me-up with these five yoga poses for more energy!

How to Boost Energy with Yoga Poses

1. Camel Pose
Similar to a backbend, camel pose stretches and opens up the upper body. Expanding and opening the diaphragm encourages deep breathing, ultimately improving and stimulating energy. This pose is also advocated to reduce neck and back pain and stimulate an efficient digestive system.

2. Pose
Laying down on the stomach, extend shoulders and chest upwards while keeping hands flat on the ground. Mostly using your spine, lift up to open up the airway. Breathe for two to six breaths for natural invigoration and energy!

3. Downward-Facing Dog
As one of the most widely recognized yoga poses, keep "all-fours" planted on the ground with the back and legs resembling slants of a triangle. Completely stretching out urges blood flow to all parts of the body, thus providing energy to the body's entirety.

4. Spinal Flex
The easiness and relaxation of this pose offers tranquility while promoting deep breaths. Flexing the spine not only inspires back support, but a subtle way to evoke energy by opening up the chest.

5. Ego Eradicator
In a comfortable pose on the ground, reach and stretch out the arms in a circular motion, up to the sky. The upper body expansion offers deeper breaths for optimized energy.
