Low fat diet food has been around for a really long time. Everyone who is on a diet seems to be staying away from anything that says fat. Although straying from fat will certainly allow you to lose weight, there are still many elements that make up a healthy diet. Dr. Caroline J. Low fat diet food is important, but so is a well-balanced diet. It is ok to eat fat. Just not a lot of it. You should also know what kinds of fat you are ingesting. Stay away from saturated fats. These are found in most animal meats and become a solid at room temperature. Imagine what that is doing to your insides. Another type of fat is polyunsaturated fat . These are not usually found in meats. This type of fat is better for you. It lowers bad cholesterol, but it also lowers the good kind. The third type of fat is monounsaturated fat. This type of fat lowers the bad kind of cholesterol and raises the good kind. This is what you want. Make sure you always read the label on the side.
