Kids Who Exercise

Kids who exercise daily aren’t just in better shape, they are healthier too.  It is proven that kids who exercise daily live a healthier life and have a better outlook on life.  Exercising lowers the chance to get type 2 diabetes and helps lower the chance of high blood pressure and high cholesterol.  Kids nowadays spend most of their time sitting in front of a television or computer screen instead of getting exercise.

It is recommended for kids ages two and up to get at least sixty minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise daily.  With ninety minutes of exercise the ideal amount kids are developing bad habits.  People believe part of the problem with lazy kids is their overloaded schedules and they simply cannot find time to exercise.  
One of the best ways to keep your kids physically active is to enroll them in sports, exercise classes, or playing outside with friends. 

Outside of school, kids should be encouraged to walk or ride their bikes to most of their daily activities whenever possible. Additionally, children can take on active roles in helping around the house such as cleaning, doing yard work, walking and caring for pets, and washing the family car, benefiting not only their health and fitness, but helping them to develop a sense of responsibility as well. 

When parents are thinking of buying gifts for their kids they should think of something that would promote healthy living and make their kids want to exercise.  Adults who hope to raise fit, healthy kids need to play actively with their children and include physical exercise into their own lives, as well.
