Weight Loss for Women

Weight Loss for Women

Countless magazines make women feel like they have to be super skinny to be beautiful. The women on the covers of magazines are always gorgeous…and skinny so it’s no wonder women feel like they HAVE to live up to this stick figure image. But it’s not that easy. Some women are just naturally skinny—that’s how they’ve always been and it’s not going to change. But for those of us who aren’t blessed with a sleek physique, there are tons of weight-loss tips for women out there.

There are diet tricks, motivation tips and easy workout routines because weight loss for women is no joke.

Try a healthy diet for successful weight-loss

A healthy diet is the foundation for healthy and long term weight loss.

Try a healthy breakfast, like this one:

Yogurt and Grapefruit Parfait
8 ounces of low-fat yogurt
1 Tablespoon of wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of ground flax seed
and 1 medium grapefruit

Or this delicious lunch:

Tuna and Bean Salad

3 ounces of chunk light tuna packed in water
1/3 cup of cannellini beans
1/4 cup of diced tomatoes
1/4 cup of diced red onion
1/4 cup of canned corn
2 hearts of palm (canned), sliced
1 teaspoon of fresh parsley

and 2 teaspoons of olive oil

Weight-loss for women: how to stay motivated

Try doing a time inventory. Take two days and keep track of exactly how you spend your time. Normally, we have more downtime than we think we do. Once you realize how much time you REALLY have, it’ll be easier to find time to exercise.

Don’t be such a perfectionist. Women are known for being perfectionists, but it doesn’t get you anywhere when it comes to losing weight. You’re not going to be able to do everything at once. You’re going to have to prioritize. Also, quit multitasking! You’ll burn yourself out if you’re too busy trying to do everything at once. And you may even find that you actually have time for a workout if you shut off your email and power down your cell phone.
