Another pro of the Wedding South Beach Diet is that it is usually very well planned and easy to follow. The rules of the diet are clear and dieters are not required to take any supplements.

Unfortunately, there are some cons to this diet as well. First of all, our bodies actually need carbohydrates to provide us with energy. The first two weeks of the diet require that you consume no carbohydrates, and this can have serious implications on your energy levels. In addition, the diet claims that you will lose 8 to 12 pounds in the first couple of weeks. This level of weight loss can be quite dangerous if it continues over time and is likely the result of a loss of muscle mass rather than fat. Finally, this diet makes no mention of the importance of exercise. Exercise increases our energy levels and also makes us fit inside and out.
