A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows that only 25% of Americans are getting the recommended three servings of vegetables a day and only one-third are getting the recommended two servings of fruit every day. Even worse, only 11% of Americans are meeting both recommendations by getting three servings of vegetables and two servings of fruits daily.

There is much data showing that people who have a high intake of fruits and vegetables are at a lower risk for certain diseases including heart disease, stroke, and even certain types of cancer. Watch the video above to learn more.
