Tangy BBQ Brisket Recipe

The brisket, a popular cut of meat from the lower breast or lower chest of beef, is excellent with BBQ sauce. Awaken the southerner within you as you enjoy this America favorite. With each bite of flavorful BBQ Brisket smothered in homemade barbecue sauce, you will revel in an explosion of intense, delicious flavor. We suggest serving this entree with sides of spiced corn & steamed broccoli.

Barbecue Sauce Ingredients

1/2 cup ketchup
• 1/2 cup water
• 2 tablespoons of molasses
• 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar
• 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
• 1 tablespoon of light brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
• 1/4 teaspoon of hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)
• 1/4 teaspoon of granulated garlic
• 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Barbecue Sauce Instructions

1. Whisk together the ketchup, water, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, white wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, salt, hot pepper sauce, granulated garlic and black pepper together in a small heavy-bottomed saucepan and place over medium heat.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and continue cooking at a simmer, stirring together, for another 10 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
4. Pour into a glass jar and store uncovered in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
This allows the flavors to blend together and reduces any sharpness from the vinegar.

Beef Brisket Ingredients

• 20 ounces of beef brisket trimmed of fat
• 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
• 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
• 1 cup of water
• 1 teaspoon of onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt

Beef Brisket Instruction

1. Place the Brisket in a 4” baking pan, mix together all the ingredients and pour over the brisket to cover the beef then wrap tight with saran wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours (this can be done the night before).
2. Heat up the grill and grill each side for 5 minutes each.
3. Brush with BBQ sauce every so often.

Buttered Corn Ingredients

• 4 ears of yellow corn
• 2 tablespoon of olive oil butter with sea salt
• 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper

Buttered Corn Instructions

1. Grill corn on the grill until al dente (to the bite).
2. Place the olive oil and the butter in a bowl with the pepper.
3. Scrape the corn off the cob and mix it together in the bowl (you can also keep it whole and brush the butter mixture onto the cob).

Steamed Broccoli Ingredients

• 12 ounces of broccoli florets
• 32 ounces of water
• 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
• 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
• 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper

Steamed Broccoli Ingredients

1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Add salt and broccoli.
3. Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from the heat and strain the water out.
4. Move the broccoli to a bowl and toss with lemon juice and pepper and serve.
