Home Delivery Diet Meal
Just What the Doctor Ordered for Convenient Weight-loss
We’re starved for time and good food
Americans want to see results instantaneously and weight-loss is no exception. In our consumer-driven society, instant gratification is the emerging trend and home delivery diet meals are not immune. Because of this, we’re beginning to feel the pressure to get our daily obligations taken care of in reduced amounts of time. It’s not shocking that in 2008, a Datamonitor survey found that 44% of citizens across 15 countries feel that it is difficult to manage their daily obligations and find time to relax. A Yankelovich study conducted in 2008 discovered 70% of Americans, aged 16 years or older, feel that they do not have the time to do all the things they need to do. And those are just 16-year-olds! In addition, 50% of Americans believe the lack of time is a bigger problem than money. This trend is having a dramatic influence on food preparation and consumption—making the home delivery diet meal more popular
This is a problem because decreased windows of time and increased stress levels almost always guarantees bad eating habits. According to a study by Ahlgren, 60% of American consumers do not know at 4 p.m. what they will have for dinner that night and then they expect to spend a total of about 30 minutes preparing, cooking and eating the meal, including clean up. That’s just not realistic. Cooking at home is seen as a chore and meal preparation is considered very time consuming, which leads to bad food choices.
Healthy eating is very important. It not only makes you feel better, but it gives your body the energy it needs to run around like a crazy person all day since that’s what our culture is forcing us to do. Home delivery diet meals are not just for those in need of some weight-loss guidance, they’re more of a healthy eating plan on the way to a permanent eating lifestyle. In other words, anyone can benefit from trying a home delivery diet meal—if not for the results, for the convenience and path to a healthy lifestyle.
