Buying Food Online: Everybody’s Doing It

Buying food online

The average American typically buys their food in person at their local grocery store or out to dinner at their local restaurant. Many fast-food chains like Tropical Smoothie and Crispers now give you the option to order your meal online. In fact, yesterday I ordered a smoothie online from Tropical Smoothie. Some people may have reservations about buying food online—thinking that ordering something online should only be reserved for clothing or electronics—but, let me assure you, buying food online is a lot faster and a lot easier than doing it the “old fashioned way" and actually going to the restaurant or the grocery store.

Another new trend is buying groceries online. Retail giant, Wal-Mart and department store chain, Meijer are a few companies that give customers the option to buy food online. Buying food online is much more convenient, however, you still have to wait around for the food to come in and unless you know which healthy ingredients you should be ordering, you run the risk of ordering too much and wasting your newly ordered food.

We are a culture that doesn't want to wait around for anything. We seek instant gratification and anything that falls short is, in our minds, not worth it. Buying food online may save you some time, but buying food from a diet food company might just be worth it in the long run.

Why you should buy food online from a diet food company

Here at bistroMD, we already know which healthy ingredients to use and we love cooking so we certainly don’t mind doing it for you. And the best part is you don’t have to do the dreaded clean afterward. Just think how much time you'll save if you never had to go to the grocery store, cook or clean again.

With bistroMD, you never have to worry about your health again. Our founder and bariatric physician, Caroline Cederquist, knows the nutritional requirements for healthy weight-loss and together with our Registered Dietitians, they ensure that these nutritional requirements are met in every bite: 1,100-1,400 calories daily with 40-50% total caloric intake from lean, adequate protein, 20-25% of calories from healthy fats, and 30-35% from complex carbohydrates.

Our menu is also completely customizable and our Registered Dietitians are available if you have any questions or concerns.
