Where do I customize my menu?
You can customize your weekly menu in your account at www.mybistromd.com.
What should I do once my food arrives?
Unpack your cooler and organize your meals. In the cooler, you'll see your menu for the week. We suggest organizing your meals in your freezer from back to front to keep your program in the suggested order.
What is provided with my first order?
In addition to your meal program and snacks, you'll receive your menu for the next week. Additionally, you'll receive a welcome kit in your cooler with more crucial information for a successful start to your program.
When should I start eating my bistroMD food?
You can start eating your meals when you'd like. However, as the deadline for holds, changes, or cancellations for your second week is Sunday at midnight ET, we suggest that you start your bistroMD program as soon as it arrives so you can try your food prior to the deadline.
How do I know what to eat when?
Simply follow the menu provided by the dietitian included in your cooler. A PDF of your weekly menu can be found in your mybistroMD account.
When do I customize my first week in my bistroMD?
We suggest that you immediately customize your program on the order confirmation page. If you have not yet customized your order, log on to www.mybistromd.com now to review your first week's menu. If you experience any problems during our business hours please call 866-401-DIET (3438) or email after business hours at CustomerService@bistromd.com and we will be happy to assist you. If you do not customize, we will send you our dietitian's recommended menu for your first week.
When do I customize my second week in my bistroMD?
You need to customize, review, and approve your second week no later than Wednesday at 5pm. You can customize in your www.mybistroMD.com account. In order to allow time to create your program, we must work a week in advance.
We recognize that you will be setting your preferences for a second week before you receive your first week of the bistroMD program. This is why you have until Sunday at midnight, ET, after you receive your first week of the program and try the entrees. If for any reason you choose not to remain on the program, you can to let us know by this deadline and we will be happy to cancel and refund your second week.
How do I make changes to my order?
If you have a menu entree or snack preference, just log on to mybistroMD.com to customize your program.
To request a hold or cancel your program, please contact us via e-mail: CustomerService@bistromd.com or by phone at: 866-401-DIET (3438).
We are happy to accommodate your requests within our deadlines. After the weekly deadlines we prepare your menu and your weekly delivery is picked up by FedEx. At that point, all of your entrees are already on their way to you and we are unable to make changes to that order. If you contact us after the deadline, any changes will be reflected on the following order.
If you cancel after the deadline, you will receive and will be billed for this final delivery of entrees.
Do I have breaks from the program?
Yes, with both our 5 and 7 day plans there are breaks in the program. Our 7 day program members get a "My Night" or free meal each week as a structured break from the program.
How can I get additional support and coaching?
The bistroMD panel of experts will provide virtual support via email. You may also set up an appointment with a Dietitian by contacting member services at 866-401-DIET (3438).
How much weight will I lose my first week?
On average bistroMD members lose 1-2 pounds a week. Every body is different so you may lose more or less than this by following the program. Your weight loss will be impacted by a couple factors including how much you need to lose to begin with and if you're eating enough calories for your body to lose weight instead of going into starvation mode.
How often should I weigh myself?
Research has shown that people who weigh themselves daily are more likely to lose more weight and less likely to regain it. However don't become obsessed with the number on the scale. Also focus on things like increased energy and better quality of sleep that occur over time.
Do I have to exercise while on bistroMD?
We do suggest that you exercise as part of your new healthier lifestyle. Our fitness expert will provide tips and virtual support to help guide you through creating the best fitness program.
Should I start exercising right away? What if I'm already very active?
If you are currently working out, then don't stop! Conversely, if you're not, then wait a few weeks before you start exercising to allow your body time to adjust to a new metabolism first before adding in more physical activity.
Do I need to keep a food journal?
You don't need to record what you eat on our program, but you can if you'd like. We do strongly suggest that you keep a success journal to record your goals, thoughts, and feelings during the process of your bistroMD program.
How long do I need to stay on the program?
Weight loss doesn't happen overnight. The amount of time you stay on the bistroMD program will vary based off of your specific goals. Although changes to your metabolism will start immediately, most people will see & feel a difference within 2-3 weeks on the program. Research shows that it takes your body up to six months to reset your metabolism fully.
How long can I stay on the program?
You have the option of staying on the program for as long as you like. You can eat bistroMD for life! Our program was designed as part of a healthy lifestyle philosophy and our meals supply all needed essential daily nutrition.
Unlike other weight loss programs, there are no nutritional drawbacks to our program. You can stay on bistroMD as long as you like without worrying about being deprived of essential nutrition.
Our goal is to help you lose weight and provide you with the tools to help you maintain your weight loss once you have achieved your initial goals. Our weight loss experts will always be there to offer you guidance along the way. We are here as a support system to get you where you need to be.
