We understand that your weight loss journey takes dedication and requires consistency, so we design your plan for weekly delivery of food. These automatic shipments require no commitment and after your first week of meals, all orders are automatically recurring each week.
When will I be billed?
We work in advance to prepare your menu and meal plan. Every week we process payments on Wednesday after 5p.m., EST, and on Thursday for the following week’s meals. This allows us to begin preparation so that there will not be a break in your weekly delivery schedule.

When can I expect my shipments to arrive?
New orders are accepted through our website and by calling. If you place your order by Tuesday at noon, EST, we will send your meals that week.
If you place your order after Tuesday at noon, EST, your meals will arrive the following week.
We ship at the beginning of every week. Depending on where you live in the U.S., your meals will be scheduled for delivery between Wednesday and Saturday. Once your meals are on their way to you, you will receive a tracking email that will allow you to track your shipment.
Why is there a Tuesday at noon, EST, cutoff for orders for the week?
It is our upmost priority to ensure that your meals arrive in the intended condition and without delay. FedEx does not deliver on Sunday, so we must ensure that your meals arrive before Sunday.
The FAA also regulates the amount of dry ice that can be included in your shipment and this restricts us from bulking up the dry ice or shipping via airplane. If we were to ship your meals later in the week, we are unable because of federal regulations to include the amount of dry ice necessary to ensure that your meals arrive in the best possible condition. To ensure your meals arrive in the intended condition, we have a Tuesday at noon cutoff for new orders.
How are my meals shipped each week?
We use FedEx to ship all of our meals. You should receive your meals near the end of each week. You will receive a tracking number through your email from FedEx that will allow you to track your shipment. If you do not receive your tracking number, check your spam folder or contact us. What are the deadlines to change my order?

To make changes to your next order, please contact us within the deadlines listed below.
New Customers: You have until Sunday at midnight, EST, immediately after you receive your first week’s shipment to let us know if you would like any changes to your next week's shipment.
Wednesday at 5 p.m., EST: For all future weeks, our deadline is always Wednesday at 5 p.m., EST PRIOR to your next week's shipment.
Please know that you are always able to cancel future shipments by our deadlines.

How do I cook my BistroMD meals?
One of the best things about BistroMD is that you get to eat real meals that are already prepared for you. All you have to do is pop your meals into the microwave and heat, eat and enjoy! It's that easy!
Each week you will receive a delivery of meals. Our entrees are in microwavable trays that are vacuum sealed to maintain freshness and cook in their own natural juices when heated.
Each meal tray has specific cooking directions on the label as well as the list of included ingredients. Just follow the cooking times listed on the label, and you will be just minutes away from a healthy, delectable, restaurant-quality meal without all of the stressful preparation and cleanup afterward.
What happens if I defrost a meal, but don’t cook it right away?
Our trays are designed to retain the natural flavor, texture and nutrients of our meals while also sealing in freshness.
You can choose to thaw your meals in the refrigerator before you eat them, or keep them frozen. We recommend thawing your meals the day before you eat them.
Our meals do contain fresh ingredients and are not shelf stable. If you choose to thaw your meals, the maximum time you should defrost your meals in the refrigerator before you heat them is 48 hours.
When you are ready to eat, just follow the appropriate cooking directions specified on your tray for frozen or thawed meals.
Can you order BistroMD for one day?
As you know, you can't lose weight with one meal alone. You need a plan, and BistroMD can be the plan that you need.
Our meal plans are designed to give you the balanced nutrition you need in order to lose weight the healthy way. Our plan is also designed to teach you the skills you need to achieve your goals and also maintain a healthy weight.
If you want to truly win with a diet plan, you have to stay focused and stick with it. With weekly delivery of chef-prepared meals that are designed by our expert physician, we do all of the work so you don't have to.
At BistroMD we believe you don't have to sacrifice great taste in order to maintain a successful diet.
What if I don't like my meals?
If you are unsatisfied with your meals please notify us right away so we can remedy the situation.

If there is a particular meal in your shipment that you don't care for, we take pride in knowing that we are able to offer you a wide variety of food choices that can be customized to fit your likes, dislikes, and dietary needs. We can also customize your menu to suit your preferences and food allergy restrictions.
Menus are updated on a weekly basis, and are always monitored by our BistroMD staff to ensure all ingredients are of supreme quality, and that each meal is up to our standards in regards to great taste, and nutritional quality.

Do you ever offer special promotions for BistroMD clients?
Once you order your first week's shipment, your email address is automatically submitted to our exclusive list and we will send you weekly newsletters, helpful program materials and special discounts and promotional offers on a periodic basis.
In appreciation of your dedication to our program we frequently run exclusive promotions for our current clients that can be applied to future week's orders.

Can I recycle any of the packaging that my meals are shipped in?
BistroMD is committed not only to your health but also the health of your environment. That’s why we take extra steps to ensure that we’re doing our part to protect it. Each week, your meals arrive in reusable polystyrene packaging. We encourage you to visit Earth911.com and identify recycling locations near your home. You can also share these coolers with a friend. Contact your local American Red Cross or relief organization to identify how these can be used locally.
